Criteria
Scholarship program overview:
The Cottage Grove Community Foundation (CGCF) will make three scholarships available to graduating seniors meeting state-wide education program standards in the greater Cottage Grove, Creswell, Drain, and Yoncalla area. These scholarships are funded by the Woodard Family and will have a value of $1200 each.
Student must have been accepted by and plan to attend Lane Community College to be eligible for the scholarship.
To qualify, a student must be a graduate of an approved state wide educational program in the greater Cottage Grove, Creswell, Drain, and Yoncalla area and have demonstrated academic achievement, involvement in school and community activities, leadership experience, character, and need. Students applying should have attained at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA.
The scholarship evaluation criteria approved by the CGCF board will be used as a basis for selecting the scholarship recipients.
The CGCF makes their scholarships available under equal opportunity basis. Scholarships will be made without regards to race, religion or creed.
The scholarship program will be consistent with the graduation schedule for the various approved educational programs considered under this program.
Applicants must answer the questions on the Cottage Grove Community Foundation Scholarship Application Form to be considered.
